The Diana Davis Spencer
Foundation is proud to
support The Fund for
American Studies
(
www.tfas.org) sponsor of
programs throughout the
world that prepare young
people for leadership by
teaching them the ideas of
freedom and a free market
economy.
Founded in 1967 by William F. Buckley, Charles Edison and others, TFAS
organizes programs in the U.S., Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Many of these programs include internships in addition to accredited coursework
that examines the ideas most conductive to individual freedom, human achievement
and personal responsibility. TFAS’s programs are premised on the belief that it is
the obligation of each generation to prepare the next for leadership.  TFAS
programs have developed talented young people who now work in major public
policy organizations, on the staffs of Member of Congress, and in major media
organizations, and serve in leadership positions throughout the world.  Enrollment in
TFAS programs is expected to be close to 1000 students in 2010.
